Worship at 9:30 am in the Children’s Church
Minister
Rev. Lisa Ward
As many of you know, First Parish houses and helps support the Milton Residents Fund, which has been expertly administrated for over 15 years by a beloved social worker, Diane Ferrarri. The Milton Residents Fund is a restricted fund that helps Milton residents in financial need. The Martin & Swift Trustees, who oversee the program, have announced that, through extensive interviewing, they have found a candidate to become the social worker upon Diane’s retirement in October.
It will be a pleasure to welcome Noreen Dolan, MSW, LCSW, to this important position in the life of Milton and in the legacy of First Parish. Noreen is a lifelong Milton resident who has a BA in Psychology from Providence College and a Master of Social Work, Marco; Concentration in Children, Youth and Families from Boston College. Noreen’s interest in social work began through her volunteer experiences at Horizons for Homeless Children. She has an interest in affordable housing and worked for the Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership for seven years in increasingly responsible positions focused primarily on homelessness prevention. For the past four years Noreen has worked with Cambridge Family & Children’s Services, most recently as Deputy Director.
Diane Ferrarri will stay on at least until the end of October to assist in a smooth transition. Diane’s dedication to this program, marked with grace, compassion and wisdom has been invaluable. I, personally, am grateful to have worked with her and know she will shine in her retirement.
More details to come when the transition is closer.
Blessings Be, Rev. Lisa

Religious exploration programming for children will resume in September. Enjoy your summer, and remember to take time to enjoy the boundless beauty of nature!
The youth room floor painting project is underway. Giant thanks to Ryan and Gillian Najarian, who spent 4 hours in killer heat and humidity moving furniture, cleaning the filthy floor, applying deglosser, and carefully protecting edges with painter’s tape. Hats off also to Paul Goodman, Elise Henricks, and Tony Dutzik who finished the painter’s tape project and laid down the first coat of paint. What a difference!
