This Week in Worship & Religious Education

Sunday, July 28
Rev. Colin Bossen
Music Joel Hiller

Dear Friends and Members of First Parish:

It has been a pleasure leading worship this past month. I am looking forward to this coming Sunday, my last with you. During the service we’ll be exploring the question: What does it mean to be present to the holy? As a way to help us think about that question I offer you James Wright’s fine poem “A Blessing” found on-line at

I hope to see you Sunday.

If you have a pastoral issue or would like to get ahold of me for another reason I can be reached at or 857.615.4142.

Brainstorming Party

Ever wondered how we come up with ideas for worship, stories, and songs?

Have some ideas you’d like to see come to life in worship or religious education?

Join us for this brainstorming session for the coming year.

All ages welcome to participate; child care will also be provided.

Do you enjoy spending time with kids?

Are you interested in exploring your own faith in a new context?

Do you want to engage with young people at First Parish as they ask big questions, think deeply, and grow spiritually?

Please consider leading a Religious Education class next year. You don’t have to be a parent, and you don’t have to have taught before – everyone has something to offer to our young people! We provide all curriculum materials, training and support for teachers, and we have a list of willing substitutes for days when you are unavailable.

Leaders are needed for all age groups, in a variety of different formats with different time commitments. We’ll do our best to find the place where program needs meet your gifts and passions. Please contact Jen Erbe Leggett at

We still have lots of open slots! Please take a minute to sign up!

Many hands are needed to assist with our vibrant church services at First Parish in Milton.
