“Avoiding Dysfunctional Closure”
Jennie Mulqueen,
Joel Hiller musician
June is a time of tremendous transition. Class parties, picnics, concerts, and celebrations provide a dizzying array of closure exercises that can leave us feeling empty and deflated rather than a true sense of belonging, wholeness and completion. What tactics might we employ to harness ourselves to a healthy spiritual energy as we close one chapter of our lives and begin another? How can we suffuse these moments with deep meaning as we create space to reflect and hold – and then – let go and move on?
Worship Service will be held in the Meetinghouse this coming Sunday and will be moving into the Parish Hall Sunday, July 7th.
Religious Education
Nursery care will be available for children under the age of 5.
Prayer & Meditation Every Sunday 9:00-9:45am. This Sunday will take place in Chase Parlor
News & Announcements
We are delighted to announce the birth of Jason Paul (JP) Dumais, Jr. to Christine and Jay. JP was born on May 27 and came to church for the first time last Sunday. The whole family is doing well, and we will look forward to a formal church blessing in the fall!
It is with great sadness that we share the news that Alison Barry, longtime member of First Parish, passed away last Saturday, June 22. A memorial service will be held at First Parish later in the summer (date to be determined). Messages of condolence may be sent to: Kristin Barry, P.O. Box 704, Goshen, MA 01032-0704.
