This Week in Worship
Sunday, November 8 Worship @ 10:30 am in Meetinghouse
Theme: Vision
I was walking across the Boston Common and I thought that I had never seen such a beautiful November day, warm, blue skies and beautiful leaves fall gracefully from the trees. It’s been pretty amazing here at the church as well. Last Sunday’s service with the members of the Great Blue Hills CUUPS was truly moving. This Sunday will also be compelling with a testimony by June Scott.

I do have other news that I want to let you know about. Miriam Saavedra has let us know that she would like to end the Religious Educator part of her job at the end of December. As I’m sure you remember Miriam has performed in the roles of both office administrator and religious educator in a combined full time position. She would like keep the office administrator job and we in leadership think that this makes sense as she has done a very good job in that role. Her reason for leaving the RE piece is it just isn’t feeding her. Miriam will continue to pursue her passion for the healing arts through her Reiki and Massage Practice.
After speaking with Lisa White, the chair of our Religious Exploration committee, and other leaders of the church I am very confident that the program will not lose any momentum in the coming months. This is in part because of the wonderful leadership and preparation that Miriam and the RE committee have put into the program. More details will follow as we flesh out what the next steps are.
See you in church,
Hank

Looking for some party planners! Planning is beginning for a couple of events in early 2016. If you like event planning, we could use your help. No long term commitment. You are finished when the party ends. If you are curious about the possibilities, please let me know via emai or try to find me during social hour.
A new post, some reinforcing of the steps, and a nice paint job. Put it all together and the staircase to the kitchen is revitalized. Thanks to our sexton, Kevin Harnden.
