This Week in Worship & Religious Education

Sunday, May 19

YOUTH SUNDAY

Join our Youth Group as they share reflections on the importance of the bonds of community through story and song.  We will hear Shareen Alsebai’s Coming of Age Credo and also have the bridging ceremony for our high school seniors.  You won’t want to miss it!

Religious Education

Spirit Play I and II (pre-K through 2nd grade)  will meet in their classrooms downstairs, where they will hear the stories “The Dead Bird” (I) and “Different Points of View” (II).
Small Group Ministries (grades 3-6) will begin in the meetinghouse before being dismissed to their classes.
Neighboring Faiths (7th grade) will gather in the parlor.

This Sunday, May 19 is the last day of RE classes. We hope children, youth, teachers, and parents alike have had a great year of growing and learning together.
See you in the fall!

Annual Meeting Sunday, May 19th

The 2013 Annual Meeting of First Parish in Milton will take place after worship Sunday in the Parish Hall. There will be a brief luncheon followed by the meeting, which will start promptly at 12 noon. Annual Meeting is where we live out our UU principle to exercise our right of conscience and engage in the use of the democratic process in our congregations. This year’s Annual Meeting is especially important as we contemplate major changes that will affect our parish life next year and in the years to come. Please make every effort to come, stay, participate and make your voice heard!

Annual Meeting materials can be found on the members page of the website:
https://fpmilton.org/members/

Child care will be provided for young children and there will be
organized games for older children.

You have been CHOSEN!

In the interest of efficiency, the Worship Committee has designated a “Chosen Few” to assist during Worship Services as ushers for the remainder of the Church year.  Please check the list below to see if you are one of the “Chosen Few”.

The Worship Committee is grateful for your participation as an usher.  If, for some reason, you are unable to fulfill your usher duties on your  “Chosen” Sunday, please either trade with someone else, or find a replacement.

Thank you, in advance, for your help!

If you do not see your name on the list and you would like to usher, please let Miriam, our new office assistant, know and she will try to fit you in.

Happy spring!
