This Week in Worship & Religious Education

Sunday, February 24
Healing
Leslie MacPherson Artinian preaching

All month, we have been discussing various aspects of healing at First Parish but what does being “healed” actually mean to us? How do we know when we – or the world – is “healed”? Come to the service for some ruminations on the question.

Young Adult Brunch THIS SUNDAY!

Young adults (18-35) are invited to join an informal brunch gathering on February 24th. Join us after church at Sweet Life (2243 Dorchester Ave.) for good food, good conversation, and community building. Cost of brunch will be covered by the Membership Committee.

Religious Education

Spirit Play I and II (ages 3-6) will meet in their classrooms downstairs for the Finger Labyrinth Lesson (I) and “God Is Like a Compassionate Deer” (II).

Passages (2nd grade) will meet in the third classroom downstairs to explore the second UU principle: justice, equity and compassion in human relations.

Small Group Ministries (grades 3-6) will meet in their classrooms to explore the theme of Healing.

Neighboring Faiths (7th grade) will meet in the parlor.

RE Teacher Needed!

We are in need of one more adult volunteer to work with our fabulous 5th and 6th graders this term. The commitment is for 2 Sundays per month, now through May. Please contact reassistant@fpmilton.org

Are you interested in becoming a member of First Parish?

We will be welcoming and celebrating new members during a service in March, and we hope that all who attend services, social events, and spiritual development programs will consider making their membership official at this time. If you are interested, please contact membership@fpmilton.org and save the dates for the two New Member Orientation sessions on March 3 and March 13.
