“In the Flesh”

We are made of matter, and as Barbara Brown Taylor puts it “matter matters to God.” We are formed with bodies with which to experience the world, which carry our love and our longing. How do we respond in spiritually healthy ways to the un-loving messages our culture gives us about our bodies? This month we will explore themes of body image, our connection with animal nature (Blessing of the Animals), aging, sexuality, and death (Remembrance Sunday, November 3).
